March 19th to March 25th

Interestingly the main thing I got from last week was to keep your options and your eyes open. I caught few images I didn’t expect so that was excellent.

I haven’t seen sun for over two weeks now, I may have to enter a gothic phase to help deal with this lack of light.

I am trying to be a little prolific some days when the opportunity arises. Thursday was a day off,  so I spent nearly 5 hours walking around some areas I hadn’t been to for a while. Old Street, Shoreditch and Brick Lane, they are all cool areas to go on the weekend but really busy with people, mid-week was nice and easy.

Overall a fun week with mates and stuff but a tough week again behind the lens.

Enjoy

Cheers

Mar 19th:

Tough day. There is a certain type of cloud that comes over London that moves the light from “totally flat” to “Can we go home yet”, there is no real redeeming quality in it at all.

You guessed it, all day was the latter. A macro shot of shoots coming out of moss.

Mar 20th:

Yes, cold, grey and flat again, but one must crack on and keep going, night out with the lads tonight should perk us all up a bit!

A bit of abstract to get us there.

Mar 21st:

This is not Australia and this is not Taylor St. The coffee was bloody excellent though

‘Aussie backstreet baristas’

Mar 22nd:

Another day of creative struggle but it was friday so I knew I was staying in town fro some dinner, it was a little nicer to photograph with the city lights, it was still God damn cold though.

Mar 23rd:

Saturday and I was supposed to go down to Haselmere to a mates place to work on my bike, -1c and snow put paid to that. So we wandered down the high street for some lunch and errands. The Northcote road Saturday market was going strong, this guy cooks a whole pig each Saturday and sells the lot every time. Smelt good to.

Mar 24th:

Off out today to see the Lichtenstein exhibition at the Tate Modern, we have been looking forward to this one, our good friedns Kate and Iain from Cambridge were going to join us but Kate was struck down by London Belly from a dodgy vindaloo! Get well soon Kate.

As you may have noted London is still in the grips of winter, 5 days into spring, I saw icicles hanging off the shed at the train station and decided it was worth a shot.

Mar 25th:

If I thought yesterday was a bit un-nice to be out, today took the lead in that race. There is no light to speak off and it is just bitchin’ cold and unpleasant out there.

So it was an indoors shot today

Neatest most correct entry:

Had a really good day out on thursday so here are a few more shots from the day

London is really cool for details in the older buildings, seen on Wednesdays wander

Just putting this out there:

As seen over Bishopgates way in London central

As seen in bathroom in Hostellerie Dispa, Du Jardinet, Walcourt, Belgium

What do you think boys and girls, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So post modern:

Antique chair on modern train, I can go with that.
