This started in January 2021 as a “Film camera a month” project, it was going well, I got about 6 cameras in and then I got an offer to good to refuse. This meant packing up my life in London and moving to Australia for a work promotion.

A year and a half later life is normal enough I can sit and work on this again.

I still own more film cameras than my wife thinks I do, this is how the film camera a month project was born! I still aim to use each of them, one per month,  for as long as there are cameras needing to see the light of day.

This is not about presenting perfect imagery, it is about my journey with each camera.

One more point, do not change your country and continent during a global pandemic.

One day while travelling and taking some photos I suddenly realised I felt whelmed, I felt disconnected, as though I was going through the motions – Great photos, no spirit.

 A friend said I needed a challenge!

So I spent a whole year making sure I took a photo a day for a whole year. It was so invigorating and uplifting, it brought a refreshed feel to my photography.

I have an aperture and I’m not afraid to use it!

Light meter exploited, details at the top of the hour!

Reciprocity, does it come in original, vanilla and ranch?

I love me a nice flat white coffee, so while I sip away on said beverage I will answer or at least attempt to answer all those questions you didn’t even know needed asking.

So join me for a coffee!
